My Bio
Welcome to one of my little corners of the internet. Thanks so much for stopping by! =D

Artistically, I prefer using traditional wet media in my works. For me, the mess is part of the fun and can be art in and of itself; I don't mind getting my hands a little messy in the creative process (seriously, after my paintings, you should SEE some of the fantastic colors my hands turn!) I also cosplay.

I welcome and appreciate constructive criticism. It's always helpful to hear ways that I could practice to improve. I will not, however, condone trolling of someone's artistic sense with the express motive of being hurtful.

I'm also quite talkative if you get me going, so if you choose to watch me or comment, expect lengthy replies and journals.

I respond to all fav-thanks because I appreciate your having taken the trouble to make a wonderful work of art and then visit my lowly page. :worship:

If you so desire, you can also follow me on Facebook or just search "Chinaricat"; I shouldn't be hard to find.

If Tumblr's more your speed, I also have a personal blog there and a roleplay blog for Durarara's Sharaku Mikage you're more than welcome to check out.

Well, December fell flat as far as social media was concerned... m'bad!  The month was surprisingly busy with not so much the holidays and work, but increased familial presence.  I was thankful for the change, but neglected a lot of personal projects in interest of spending time with people, so you win some, you lose some, right?  =D I'm thankful to be ringing in the new year with a new employment opportunity~!  I'll still be doing photos, but I've picked up a job at a convenience store as well, and I'm really looking forward to working there.  The staff is all super friendly and genuinely seems happy to be there, so I feel like I'll be join

Well, Thanksgiving's come and gone, and December's right around the corner, so what better time to blather! The holiday itself was nice.  For the past few years, much like with birthdays, I spent Thanksgiving working, which meant showing up to family dinners late enough that no food is left and no one wants to interact.  This was the second Thanksgiving that I was invited to a coworker's dinner instead, but unlike the first time, it was a lovely experience!  My attendance was a matter of confusion as my immediate family was unsure as to what they were doing on the day.  They ended up going to family anyway, so I joined my coworker.  In prepa

It only took me half a month to fail Inktober! =D But really.  I did actually try to be pretty faithful to sketching something every day, but one day at work was busy enough to knock me right off the bandwagon.  Still, some of the ideas were fun enough to revisit at a later point in time that should become available in right around two weeks.  When it's slow, I usually sketch things at work anyway, so if I remember, I'll gather up my favorites for an end-of-the-year compilation in a few months.  Most of it is poorly executed Vento Aureo stuff right now anyway, so if you're curious, you're not missing much. Most of my life lately has been wo
